Run or Walk the Cooks Hill Challenge at Washington Orthopaedic Center

Since 1985, Rotary International’s Polio Plus program has contributed greatly to the protection of more than two billion children from the dreaded disease of polio. Rotary International’s goal is the global eradication of polio. Polio eradication means the interruption of the transmission of the wild poliovirus. Centralia Rotary Club and Corwin-Rey Farmers Insurance Group presents the Cooks Hill Challenge, Run for the Kids on Saturday, Sept. 21, at 1900 Cooks Hill Road, Centralia. Entry fee for the 10-Miler is $25 before Sept. 15 and $30 thereafter. The 5K Fun Run/Walk is $20.

Plaques for top male and female 10-Miler Finishers. Ribbons will be given to all 5K Finishers. Post snacks for everyone.

Registration begins at 7 a.m. at Washington Orthopedic Center. Race starts at 8 a.m. for the 10-Miler and 8:30 a.m. for the 5K Run/Walk. The 5K is a mostly flat, stroller- and dog-friendly course for all ages of the family. The 10-Miler course consists of beautiful rural scenery and two steep hills.
