Saint Joseph School, on 123 SW Sixth Street in Chehalis, is encouraging parents and guardians to learn more about open enrollment for the 2019-2020 school year. While Saint Joseph is a Catholic School, and religion and Mass are very much a part of the curriculum, families of all faiths are welcome to become a part of the Saint Joseph “family.” Kindergarten screening will take place on Wednesday, May 8 from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. in the Kindergarten classroom. During the screening process, a faculty member and a Saint Joseph alumni, currently attending W. F. West High School, will be providing a tour of the school and answering any questions parents and guardians may have. Known for its academic achievements and its small class sizes, at this time all grades are able to accept additional students. Children ready for pre-school in the fall can be enrolled now as well. Saint Joseph pre-school starts at 8:15 a.m. and ends at 11:15 a.m. Monday through Friday with an after school care program offering positive and productive play time for children who need or want to stay until 3:00 p.m. There is also an after school care program for all students providing supervision, assistance with homework, and recreation for students in pre-school through eighth grade Monday through Friday until 6:00 p.m. For more information call Saint Joseph School at 360-748-0961.
