The Lewis County Farm Bureau has been serving farm/ranch families for 102 years in Washington. They are an independent, voluntary organization governed by and representing farm and ranch families united for the purpose of analyzing agricultural related problems and formulating action to achieve educational improvement, economic opportunity and social advancement. The Bureau are stewards of the land that farmers utilize as they feed our communities, our country and people all around the world. The Bureau promotes national well-being.

The Farm Bureau work begins at the local level. County bureaus originate policies which are then promoted up through the state and national levels. Each year they develop a public policy agenda and prioritize issues to pursue during the Washington State Legislature’s session. Farming is the second largest industry in Washington state and agriculture is critical to the state’s economy. It is important that our state maintains a business environment that allows food producers and processors to remain competitive and viable.

“We are the voice of Agriculture,” notes Bureau board member, membership chairman, and past President, Maureen Harkcom. To learn more about membership call 360-515-6129 or email [email protected]. For information about the Farm Bureau visit www.lewiscountyfb.com
