KiwanisCentralia-Chehalis Club

Our club formed in 1922 and has been supporting our community’s youth since, through projects, fundraisers, and programs. Each year we award scholarships to students at W. F. West and Centralia High School who have been members in the school KEY Club program. Onalaska High school recently added the Key Club program too.

We sponsor Washington State Patrol Camp, Key Club, Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Camp, Honors Banquet, The Chehalis Pool, Terrific Kids, the W. F. West KEY Club and W. F. West Business Week, and the Little Miss Friendly event at the Southwest Washington Fair.

Members sponsor sports teams, boy scouts, cub scouts, girl scouts, and law enforcement camp. Kiwanis supports Reach Out and Read, Pope’s Kids Place, and Valley View Medical & Dental. We put play structures in at Lintott-Alexander Park and donated money for the “Kiwanis Needle” at Fuller’s Skate Park.

In March the club donated $1000 to the area food banks to support the COVID-19 challenges.

We invite interested community members to consider membership in Kiwanis, we meet at Dawn’s in Centralia at noon each Thursday. Join us in working to help kids in our community be better and stronger individuals in everything they do. Call Bob at 360-880-0237 with questions.
