HISTORIC FOX THEATRE Summer activities

CENTRALIA, WA – Fox Theatre takes a break from fundraising events this summer for a major exterior restoration.  After a very busy and very successful Spring fundraising season, the Fox is turning its attention to some vital aspects of the overall restoration.  With funding from the Washington State Legislature’s 2016 Supplemental Budget and the Centralia Coal Transition Weatherization Board, the Fox restoration is ready to make some major strides.  The summer project includes a complete replacement of the theatre’s main roof and a comprehensive repair, rebuild and reinforcement of the giant South wall.  In addition, the theatre will receive a brand new, engineered HV/AC system that will include additional weatherization projects such as door and window replacement and insulation.  The ambitious project will take place through August 27, when the theatre will reopen for two showings of You’ve Got Mail. Even though the theatre is closed for the summer, Holley’s Place Frozen Yogurt will continue to serve up the best summer treats everyday and of course fundraising at the theatre is always ongoing.  Please consider a donation to the Fox Theatre!
