FREE “Gardening For Everyone” Classes

Saturday, October 9, 2021, 9:00am-2:15pm, at the Centralia Christian School, located at 1315 S Tower Ave, Centralia. 

Classes will be taught by WSU Lewis County Master Gardeners!  Classes include; Backyard Composting, Gardening with Native Plants, How to Create a 4-Season Garden, The Enchanted World of Garlic, Pruning Landscape Shrubs, Food Preservation without Canning, Rain Gardens, Planting Deer Resistant Landscapes, Building Rustic Trellises and Arbors from Twigs and Limbs.

Master Gardener Volunteer Training:  

WSU Lewis County Extension Master Gardener program is open to everyone with an interest in gardening, landscaping and environmental stewardship!  In-person and online training begins January 2022.  Fee: $214.00 for materials and costs associated with the training.  Fees due prior to the beginning of class (payment plans available).  Upon completion of training and 40 hours of volunteer services, trainees receive the title of “Certified WSU Master Gardener”.  For more information about the program or to request an application, contact Jason Adams at 360-740-1216 or email; Jason.adams@lewiscountywa.gov
