Centralia College Foundation

The Centralia College Foundation recently held its annual gala to support scholarships and services for students enrolled in the associate, bachelor’s, and trade programs at Centralia College.

The Raise-the-Paddle this year supported the purchase of a forestry simulator that will help students learn to operate a forwarder, a harvester, and a hydraulic excavator. The simulator will add to the growing trades programs at Centralia College. Several of these programs will utilize the Southwest Washington Flexible Training Center (SWFT Center), which is now being built by the Centralia College Foundation. The SWFT Center is set to open in the fall of 2020 and is funded primarily with TransAlta Coal Transition Grant funds and private donations.

To receive more information regarding the new simulator, the SWFT Center, or other Centralia College Foundation projects, call Christine Fossett at 360-623-8451 or Christine.fossett@centralia.edu
