Richard J. Stride was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Cascade Mental Health Care and began February 3, 2014. Richard came to CMHC from Catholic Child & Family Services in Wenatchee where he had been since 2003. He was responsible for achieving financial and administrative results and overseeing day-to-day operations for a not-for-profit, community-based behavioral healthcare provider organization. Prior to that, Richard was the Clinical Director of Chelan Douglas Behavioral Health Clinic.
He also served in the United States Army Reserves from 1999-2008, and attained the rank of Captain. Richard has a diverse background, growing up in Colorado and experiencing a wide array of jobs and community behavioral healthcare leadership.
Richard and his wife, Connie, reside in Olympia. Connie grew up in Sunnyside, WA. She graduated from high school in Sunnyside and has worked as a Customer Service Specialist for a utility company in Wenatchee. Richard and Connie have two adult children.
Richard will be learning and studying as he joins CMHC in serving our clients and communities. He will rely on CMHC to continue the delivery of high quality services and support to persons who seek recovery from mental illness.
