37th Annual Historical Ride May 11th

The 37th Annual Historical Ride will be held on the Saturday before Mother’s Day May 11th. We are excited this year to have a new starting point, at the Bethel Church at 132 Kirkland.
The event offers a choice of four different rides, all beginning and ending at the same place (new location Bethel Assembly Church of God).
Three of the four rides offers leisure time to view the many sites of the rural roads in Lewis County Riders will see herds of sheep, goats and cattle. This is the time of year to see a variety of young calves, a horse to two, baby goats in addition to perhaps some Llamas. There is sure to be the views of our three volcanoes, Mt. Adams in the distance, Mt. St Helens and the most beautiful of all, Mt Rainier.
There are three food-rest stops, four for the 100 mile riders who use the Cowlitz Forest Grange, as a first and second stop. Eveline School and Claquato Historical Church are used by 48,68,100 riders.
The Chehalis Valley Amateur Radio Volunteers will be stationed at various places through the ride. A sag wagon and bicycle repair will also be available. The 20 mile ride is a family ride in and around the area, the cost is $20 for an adult and children under the age of 15 ride free. A great way to start or continue family rides. If you haven’t ridden before this may be a good way to begin your life as a cyclist.
The 68 and 100 mile rides are good training for anyone planning to participate in the STP scheduled in July.
Riders may register at: Lewis County Historical Ride, chehaliscentraliaoptimistclub.org or at Active.com. On Site registration from, 7 to 8:30 am.
